Funding and Other Resources Funding and Other Resources was the top challenge selected across all institutions and for 1862 and 1890 Land-grants. This category was selected as the second challenge for 1994 Land-grants. In terms of training needs Funding and Other Resources tied for second for 1994 Land-grants, ranked fourth across all institutions and for 1862 Land-grants and ranked eight for 1890 Land-grants. A total of 42 institutions reported providing some form of funding and other resource training with eight institutions providing training in all of the subcategories provided (Table 27). Training in the area of funding and other resources was reported as occurring in both 1862 and 1890 Land-grant universities.
