The Menominee community is invested in helping community members be successful gardeners. To help with that, a number of local service providers distribute starter plants to the community. Early on, we spent thousands of dollars buying vegetables and other plants from local greenhouses, which people could pick up at various community locations. As with the seed distribution event, we were providing a good service to the community but were missing an opportunity to connect and share with people.
