Quarterly Reports NTAE Year 3 Qtr 3

Significant Results: ● Overview one-pager revamped, posted on NET website and distributed at NACDEP conference, with an estimated reach of 100 participants to date (including NET conference in November 2022). More one-pagers in progress on workforce development, DEIA and agritourism. ● Process for developing a NET e-publication has been established, including: ○ Application process for identifying case studies to include - ■ Review process for vetting applications ■ Interview guide for producing case study stories ■ Assigning writers to each of the case studies ■ Deadlines and publication plans established ● NET conference proceedings have been finalized and passed on to the designer, who will work on the layout. ● NET branding in progress - logo discussion document captured key elements to inform design and these have been shared with NTAE Key Informant Aaron Weibe, who has kindly offered to help develop a new logo. This logo will be used to develop a banner/display for use in NET outreach activities (see #5 immediately below). ● NET outreach at upcoming conferences - representatives have been selected, with one outreach event already completed: National Science Byway Conference May 3 - 5 in Leavenworth, KS (Gwynn Stewart with 85 in attendance) ○ Outreach included a display table with information about NET ○ Including of NET information in a breakout session ○ Engaged Ohio partners in initial discussions about potential NET - related research initiative ● NET Leadership Development - we have met with NTAE Key Informant Karl Bradley to discuss our options, and have launched a survey to gather NET Design Team feedback on the interest and favored format for leadership training. ● Development of NET subgroups (Tourism, Recreation, Hospitality, and Extension) on Connect Extension. ● Other NET activities that connect to the NTAE project include planning for engagement with Minority-Serving Institutions (including establishment of a DEIA committee for NET) and planning for content development for the Connect Extension portal. Anticipated work for the next reporting period (June 1, 2022 - August 31, 2022): ● Development and distribution of additional one-pagers ● NET members signing up for the Extension tourism registry ● Publication and dissemination of NET Proceedings ● Case studies of NET e-pub - interviews conducted and case studies drafted
