Coming Together for Racial Understand & DEI ECOP Action Teams Fellow: Rachel Wellborn, Mississippi State University Roadmap Fellow Report: Coming Together for Racial Understanding: Three new states (South Dakota, Nebraska and West Virginia) completed training for initiating a Coming Together for Racial Understanding project. Additionally, 18 individuals are on the path to completing training to help expand or restore existing teams, where people have retired or taken other positions. Three research briefs are underway exploring the impact of this work. DEI Program Action Team: Through monthly meetings and work in between, the subgroups related to this effort continue to make progress. A call is currently underway in conjunction with ESCOP to identify the DEI contacts at each LGU. Another group is designing a survey that will go to these contacts. The Community of Practice/Resource Repository group has a draft content outline and are working to finalize that effort for the products. Experience(s) working with your Catalysts and Key Informants: Chuck Hibberd has been actively participating with the DEI Program Action Team, offering guidance as needed. Aaron Weibe has been assisting the DEI team that is working on consolidating resources on the Extension Foundation’s platform.

Does your project work with diverse, under-served, or underrepresented audiences? Yes

Please explain briefly how your project works with these audiences. The DEI team's focus is on marginalized populations by multiple dimensions. Additionally, 1890/1862/1994 input is shaping the work. Significant Results: ● The model for the newest state team training was to do part of the work via Zoom and part in person. This hybrid model potentially can save time and money in travel costs while still providing the essential face-to-face time for building solid trusting relationships. The evaluations from this group compared favorably with previous training groups that experienced differing models. Thus, this seems to be an effective content
