■ NECI workshop held afternoon of May 17 with 30 in attendance: “Climate Change in Extension: Priority Actions, Federal Steps Taken and Prioritizing Our Next Steps.” ● Facilitate by Rosyln McCann, Jennison Kipp and Paul Lachapelle with three breakout groups who discussed action toward: ○ Review and update NECI Action Items (Paul) ○ Plan a Story Map for Extension Climate Programming (Jennison) ○ Visualize Fall 2022 Extension Climate Summit hosted by ECOP (Roslyn) ■ Synthesizing input gathered during and feedback from partners at the conference. ■ Strategic planning for next joint summit, coordinating with ANREP board to avoid conflicts with ANREP bi-annual conferences; interest expressed from University of Wisconsin to host next joint event.

Anticipated work for the next reporting period (June 1, 2022 - August 31, 2022): ● Output 5 - To have a nationally recognized Climate Literacy program with modules that will be the “go to certification” by internal and external partners ● Establish NECI committees to further provide opportunities for NECI members to participate and advance the work as it relates to climate in the areas of: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; Professional Development and Communications ● Plan and launch communications plans to increase NECI membership, inform and educate members on work occurring nationally, increase National Extension Registry entries.
