• Landmark Gift Task Force—this National 4-H Council Board of Trustees-led Task Force is collecting Extension input/priorities from Extension Leadership to further inform its work in developing a plan to deploy the $50M gift from MacKenzie Scott Other Updates and Requests: The next 4-H Pathways Institute will be held virtually on June 21-22, 2022, and July 27-28, 2022. Identify representatives from 1862s, the 1890s, 1994s, and territories to contribute to 4-H History Preservation Initiatives – contact Nancy Valentine (nancy.valentine@outlook.com) Explorers of the Deep is the 2022 4-H STEM Challenge that teaches kids how to use STEM to explore Earth’s Ocean and how it relates to all life on the planet. Please explain briefly how your project works with veterans or veteran farmers. The 4-H PAT is not focused on this audience at this time. Does your project work with diverse, under-served or underrepresented audiences? Yes Please explain briefly how your project works with these audiences. One of the primary goals for the 4-H Leadership PAT is to "engage more youth" in the 4-H Youth Development Program that reflects the diversity of youth in the US. The following are ways that the 4-H Leadership PAT is working to support this goal: ● Expanding the 4-H Pathways Leadership Institute ● Support and align with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategic Direction Implementation Teams ● Guide 4-H at Home Expansion (New name and expansion plans will be discussed at the June 2022 meeting.) ● Support National 4-H Conference scholarships to increase representation and diversity (The 2022 National 4-H Conference evaluation is in process and will be released in June.) ● Continue to build strong collaborative relationships across land-grant institutions.
