Catalysts’ Report: Dawn Mellion and Rick Klemme ● The Communications and Marketing KI partnering with Farm Journal, advised Sumit on marketing strategies for the winter, 2022 workshop. ● The Evaluation KI engaged with the team on workshop evaluation. ● The Digital Engagement and Publishing KIs engaged with the team on publication highlighting the to date experience. ● The Catalysts engaged with the team on scaling the project to other regions in Oklahoma and expanding to other states. ● The Partnership and Development KIs engaged with the team on potential partner/funding opportunities. ● This project has been successful thus far. The fellow and his team understand what their charge is and are moving forward. They hosted the first series of “Master Irrigator” training (4 sessions over a four-week period) and received positive reviews from the participants. Their targeted number was 25 and 19 attended. A couple of folks did not complete the course due to circumstances beyond OK State control. They used the KI services and the Communications and Marketing KI placed an announcement in the Farm Journal which opened up potentially new audiences. However, the fellow thinks that social media posts garnered the most attention. The Ok State team is exploring the option of partnering with a private company to deliver this training to a new audience. Discussion has also been held with other similarly situated states about hosting the training there. Key Informant Services Leadership and Leadership Development Two informational sessions on our “Team Effectiveness” services including Google’s Project Aristotle & Team Health survey dashboard. Digital Engagement and Publishing The Digital Publishing and Engagement team met twice with the Project Fellow during this reporting period. The initial interview for the ghost-writing process occurred on 12/21. The Fellow has provided materials to the Digital Publishing and Engagement team to support the ghostwriting process. Strong potential to incorporate digital engagement in epub. Update email sent to Fellow 1/10/22. There is an excellent publishing opportunity to help share the model and “grow” the program both in Oklahoma and in neighboring states. Digital engagement support will be helpful in expanding the program both within Oklahoma and across state boundaries.
