ECOP Climate ProgramAction Team
Advised by Megan Hirschman, Extension Foundation Roadmaps Climate PAT The purpose of this project is to support the ECOP Climate Program Action Team led by Jason Henderson Catalyst’s Report: Chuck Ross To date we have applied for a $49M NOAA grant; identified three areas of focus for the Climate PAT team using a collaborative input process with NECI and other organizations; proactively shaped and are constructing an application to USDA for Climate Smart Commodities that could be as big as $100M. In addition, we have worked with NIFA and the Climate Hubs to facilitate collaborative efforts between the HUBS and the LGUs in their regions and we supported a couple of climate teams in the IC meeting in January of 20222. We have also participated in a climate conference in Nashville hosted by Trust In Food and anticipate participating in a national sustainability conference hosted by Penn State.

Program Design and Educational Technology Helped plan and implement 2 stakeholder engagements, with 24 participants, created three Priority Action Team focussed on Climate-Smart Agriculture and Food Systems, Climate-Resilient Communities, and Ecosystem services to attend the January 2022 Impact Collaborative Summit. Leadership and Leadership Development Two informational sessions on our “Team Effectiveness” services including Google’s Project Aristotle & Team Health survey dashboard. Marketing and Communications Met with this team for some training on better using Connect Extension and the subgroup increased to over 300 participants through partnering with the Foundation to deliver their content via the Connect Extension Weekly Digest. Partnership and Development The Climate PAT and PITs hosted a priority-setting workshop on December 7th to more clearly define priorities within: Climate Resilient Communities, Climate Smart Ag and Food Systems,
