Continue the use of open-source software for the Ask Extension application. Objective 2. Provide professional development opportunities that promote use of open networked learning and other forms of online-based teaching resources. This work will be done through the mobilization of new talents and networks with projects aligned with the USDA Strategic Goals a. Research and Extension Catalysts – Catalysts will continue to be utilized to mentor and support projects. i. In 2019 5 Projects and Project Fellows were named ii. In 2020, 8 Projects and Project Fellows were named iii. In 2021, 22 Projects and Project Fellows will be named iv. In 2022, a total of 40 projects are planned; 20 in incubation, 16 in acceleration, and 4 in expansion

b. Digital Engagement will continue to support technological and project efforts and will be based on the content, learning, and processes from the NTAE Projects. c. Digital Engagement and Publishing efforts in Year 4 will include: i. Flipping Book/s or ePublishing. This is where technology and content interface for the best learning experiences come from the NTAE projects. Projects can share specific resources, processes, research, and strategies that are not cataloged anywhere else in CES. These publications will continue to increase both content, project process, and technological capacity for CES including an emphasis on documenting evidence-based practices. ii. Webinars iii.
