NTAE 2021-22 Progress Report.docx

Assessment Toolkit (HECVAT-lite) and was found to be substantially compliant with recommended practices. However, this assessment was not performed on other Extension Foundation platforms as they, except for Ask an Expert, neither solicit nor store any personal information on clientele, and are provided and serviced by commercial, third-party companies. Ask an Expert, which captured only names and email addresses on clientele, has now also transitioned to Ask Extension and is on a totally new platform provided to the Extension Foundation by a commercial service provider. At this point, the Extension Foundation operates no online platforms but uses commercial, third-party services that provide necessary security measures related to those services. Nevertheless, because Ask Extension collects names and email addresses of clientele and is obligated to maintain the confidentiality of that information, the Foundation will request of that service provider that the HECVAT-lite assessment be conducted. c. Concluding Statement

The NTAE Grant is a way to develop and deploy new technology in service to the Extension mission and to accelerate competitively-selected projects that increase capacity for CES through documentation, dissemination, professional development, networking, and sharing the content and processes learned from the projects. The ability to align projects with USDA Strategic Goals and ECOP Program Priorities provides an invigorating focus for the NTAE work. This environment allows for additional learning, resources, input, and expanded outputs and results
