Scaling Juntos Fellow: Diana Urieta, North Carolina State University Roadmap

Fellow Report: During the last project reporting period, Juntos leadership was able to submit an AFRI Workforce Development YEA proposal. Extension Catalyst and the grant development team supported this effort. Finalized the Juntos Sustainability e-fieldbook for publication. Extension Foundation will publish in September 2022. Planning is underway for the National Juntos Convening, which will be held at Oregon State University in March of 2023. Catalyst and Key informants supported with ideas for funding the event and engaging high-level leadership. The new Juntos Podcast series is being finalized for a fall posting date. We also met with the National 4-H Council leadership to discuss ways they can support Juntos’ work. Experience(s) working with your Catalysts and Key Informants: I can't say enough about the great access to knowledge and support these professionals brought to the Juntos structure this year.

Please explain briefly how your project works with these audiences. The majority of the community we serve are first-gen students and immigrant families who identify as Hispanic/Latino/a/x

Significant Results: ● Submission of the AFRI Grant and relationships/connections made with industry partners and internal partners like the Plan Science Institute and National FFA leadership ● Finalizing Publication on Juntos Sustainability guide overview ● Piloted Ripple Effect Mapping with Juntos students at Summer Academy.
