Quarterly Reports NTAE Year 3 Qtr 4

National Extension Tourism Network Scaling UP Fellow: Stephan Goetz, Pennsylvania State University Roadmap

Fellow Report: During Quarter Four, members of this project team met six times to advance the work on objectives, bringing in Key Informants as needed. At each meeting, we made decisions on how to proceed on each objective and assigned action items to team members, who executed them independently. During this reporting period, several members of the project team also met in person (described below). We also engaged the services of a graphic designer and printing company to develop outreach materials.

A no-cost extension request for this project was filed and approved, and we have engaged in planning for the extended project performance period.

Experience(s) working with your Catalysts and Key Informants: Our Catalyst, Scott Reed, has been immensely helpful. We meet with him twice a month to discuss progress on the NTAE grant. He has connected us with several Key Informants including Megan Hirshman, Ashley Griffin, Aaron Weibe, Rose Hayden-Smith, Hellina Tadesse, and others. Aaron Weibe was instrumental in helping us develop our branding materials. Significant Results: ● Members of the NET Executive Committee met in person over several days at the International Workshop on Agritourism (IWA) to draft a ten-year organizational growth plan (attached to this submission). The organizational growth plan addresses the connected questions: What does NET aspire to be? What ambition do we have for the NETwork? What could NET look like in 3 years? In 5 years? In 10 years? ● NET branding/marketing: ○ Logo was finalized, with Aaron Weibe providing final logo files on August 1, 2022. ○ This logo has been added to the NET website, LinkedIn account, and various publications. ○ Using the new logo, we worked with a third-party graphic designer to develop a NET traveling display, and also purchased a NET-branded table cloth for use during events. ○ We debuted these display materials at IWA, which was attended in-person and virtually by more than 500 people from 56 countries. At our display, we also shared the “About NET” one-pager; a “save the date” for our NET 2023
