(See photo submitted with this report.) ○ NET one-pagers: Agritourism one-pager was completed (attached) and distributed at the IWA. It is also on our website. Other one-pagers in progress are on workforce development and DEIA. ■ Significant progress has been made on the NET e-publication: ● Draft profiles on each program have been written by Heather Martin and Rose Hayden-Smith and reviewed by NET subjects and NET-NTAE team member Kristen Devlin; ● Images to accompany each program have been sourced; ● Files have been passed along to the designer who will be putting together the final e-pub. ● Expected completion date: sometime in September 2022. ● NET Conference proceedings have been finalized (attached). Work is underway to get them published on various platforms by mid-September. ● NET outreach at conferences - three new outreach events completed: ○ Kristen Malek, Extension Specialist and Assistant Professor, University of Nebraska, attended the International Council of Hospitality and Tourism Educators, held August 3-6, 2022, in Washington, D.C. ○ Rob Robertson, Associate Professor, The Ohio State University, attended the 84th Annual Meeting of the Rural Sociological Society, August 4-7 2022, in Westminster, Colorado. ○ Several members of the National Extension Tourism Design Team and of the wider NETwork attended the International Workshop on Agritourism, August 30-September 1, 2022, in Burlington, Vermont:
■ Attending to represent NET as event sponsors were Andy Northrop, Statewide Community Vitality and Sustainable Tourism Educator, Michigan State University; Xinyi Qian, Director and State Specialist, University of Minnesota Tourism Center; and Stacy Tomas, Assistant Professor in the Oklahoma State University School of Hospitality and Tourism Management; ■ Kristen Devlin, Communications Specialist for the Northeast Regional Center for Rural Development (NERCRD), and Jason Enstminger, Associate Director of NERCRD, attended in support of the NET EC strategic planning meetings that took place there. ■ Several other NET members (not supported by the NTAE funds) who engaged in promoting NET at the event include Ann Savage (NCSU), Matt Ulmer (Alabama Cooperative Extension System), and Kynda Curtis (USU).
