● Dr. Roslynn McCann (Utah State University) continues to serve in the ECOP liaison role for NECI to ensure ongoing communication and consistency with ECOP and NECI climate action priorities. Output 3 – National support from all stakeholders to develop a Climate Smart Extension Certification/Badging for Climate Literacy ● IN PROCESS ● Continuing to build support among USDA-NIFA staff, other federal agencies (e.g., DOE) and collaborators through formal NECI events and informal networking opportunities ● Professional development and relationship building through the 2022 National Extension Energy Summit (NEES) & National Sustainability Summit (NSS) held at Penn State University May 15-19 2022 ● NECI & NECAT representation and engagement at NEES+NSS: ○ Six NECI steering committee members and two Extension Foundation liaisons in attendance (8 total NECI reps at conference) ○ Applicants for NEES+NSS 2022 travel stipends solicited through competitive process; 13 applications received in all from 9 faculty, 3 student, 1 NECI SC member ○ $9,500 in travel stipends awarded to support conference attendance: six (6) $1,000 stipends and seven (7) $500 stipends ○ NECI-sponsored keynote speaker Crystal Chissell from Project Regeneration presented on Day 2 of the conference, May 17th ○ NECI-sponsored networking social and dinner held for 37 conference participants at the ReFarm Café at Windswept Farms

○ Coordinated with Yale Climate Connections staff to attend and record interviews with conference attendees for use on their 90-second podcasts
