presentation, EcoActUs is a multimedia platform that engages the user while guiding them to develop a climate action plan with solutions that they can incorporate into their daily work. ○ There are three things we hope to get out of the October PD Meeting: ■ Introduce the EcoActUs platform to NECI folks so they can evaluate it as the program to offer to all Extension Professionals. Demonstrate its flexibility and access to experts and in-depth material that we can all use when looking for sustainable solutions to the climate crisis. ■ Explore the logistics and benefits of offering the course to interested NECI folks as a self-guided online program with periodic Zoom meetings to discuss the material. ■ Solicit NECI’s help in developing two new tracks that will be offered by EcoActUs namely, Regenerative Agriculture and Oceans and Water Systems. ○ January 2023: Mick Smyer will be the presenter for Jan 4 ’23 NECI PD Meeting with a session titled “Breaking The Climate Avoidance Habit”. ■ Several NECI and NECAT leaders attended and/or spoke at Washington State University Extension’s first annual conference July 12-13, 2022: “Extension Action in a Changing Climate" ○ NOTE: conference was entirely about climate change and WA Extension’s future role as a leader in this area. Five White Papers related to climate Extension priorities are being developed following the conference. Additional info and resources are posted at the conference website: https://extension.wsu.edu/extension-retreat-2022/ o Paul Lachapelle and Sabrina Drill spoke during a session on “Cool examples of climate change Extension and outreach programs” ■ Tracy Morgan (UW Extension and NECI SC member) attended and reported back to NECI Steering Committee on session “Climate justice, and why everyone must help” ■ Jason Henderson (Purdue University, national Extension Climate Mitigation, Resiliency, and Adaptation Program Action Team chair) led and presented session “What does climate change mean to Extension” with participation by NECAT team members ● Jennison Kipp (NECAT Co-PI) presented and discussed NECI and NECAT work at a newly-created (early 2022) UF/IFAS Extension administration group “Climate Carbon Extension Education” or “C2E2” on July 26, 2022.
