My Hometown is Cool Fellow: Lauren Prinzo, West Virginia University Team Work Plan
Fellow Report: The My Hometown is Cool project team has made progress this quarter towards the expansion of the project. In Q1 the team completed an action plan/timeline, drafted our case statement, and connected with several technical experts who have provided valuable feedback regarding plans for National expansion. Members of the project team worked to develop a review process and identify both adult and youth reviewers to provide feedback on adjusting content for audiences outside of West Virginia. With support of experts/coaches, the team has identified key areas to address to expand the program including refining/finalizing evaluation tools, developing a marketing plan, and facilitating pilot program delivery in each region. Significant Results: The project team continued to plan the expansion of the project to a National audience with assistance from coaches and experts engaged in the NTAE process. Experience(s) working with your Coach, Catalysts and/or Key Informants as applicable: Our team has had the opportunity to meet regularly with our coaches. Our coaches facilitated meetings with relevant key informants in evaluation and marketing and communications. Sessions have been extremely beneficial to the development of expansion plans. We are grateful for the opportunity to brainstorm with a zoom room full of enthusiastic and creative professionals who are invested in the success of the project. Anticipated Work for Next Reporting Period: (Please list the objectives and goals for the next reporting period.) In the next period we will adjust and finalize the "Program Delivery Kit" for My Hometown is Cool. We will also host a virtual chat with support from catalysts/key informants and request partnership from faculty in each region of the state.
