Anticipated Work for Next Reporting Period: (Please list the objectives and goals for the next reporting period.) ● The Let’s Cook at Home: Herbs and Spice webinar will be launched on the Extension website. ● Start reaching out and connecting with farmers, markets, and other community events to schedule food demos. ● Continue marketing efforts and finalize a “team” to cover the entire state for this program to reach across the state of PA. ● Have recipes in their finalized templates. ● Educator toolkit created and will do a virtual training for “how-to”. ● Have a peer-reviewed and finalized case statement, a newsletter for Brian Moyer, and a resource page for the program.

Please explain briefly how your project works with veterans or veteran farmers. We will buy produce from veteran farmers and connect with farmers to present our program/food demo's at their locations, including those veterans.

Does your project work with diverse, under-served or underrepresented audiences? Yes

Please explain briefly how your project works with these audiences. We ensure that our project aligns with Penn State University's mission and vision. We will provide this program to people in our communities when they want it and where they want it so we can achieve our goals in the program. Our program aligns with making everything accessible; whether the information is printed or used in a digital format, our recipes use simple kitchen tools and produce items you can find in most places. The steps to those recipes are short and straightforward. We encourage community members at farms, markets, and other community events to use their government assistance programs, such as the senior's farmers market nutrition program and WIC farmers market nutrition program.

Key Informant Services Reports Digital Publishing and Engagement

The Publishing and Digital Engagement team did not work with this project team during the first quarter. The team will meet with this team in January to discuss this Key Informant service available to them.
