WV Coalfields Trail Town Program Fellow: Christine Kinder, West Virginia State University Team Work Plan
Fellow Report: September / October- Meetings with team members and catalysts, built a solid plan of action and timeline for the project. Christine compiled an excel sheet with all current state and national designated trails that run through the 13 county National Coal Heritage Area in southern WV and listed by category.
Christine and Christy created a draft case statement and gathered trail town information to research trail town case studies.
November- Team met in person, decided on individual tasks, discussed project vision and agreed on specific project details.
December- Team submitted individual assessment checklists to Christine, met with catalysts for monthly check-in, on track with our team timeline. Helina provided edits to the case statement, Christine will make changes and submit an updated draft to Helina by Jan. 7 for review.

Experience(s) working with your Coach, Catalysts and/or Key Informants as applicable: Dawn, Helina and Tira are wonderful! Tira keeps very organized notes and keeps everything on track. Dawn provides very helpful feedback, asks great questions that help guide the project in the right direction, and Helina's feedback is very thoughtful and helpful! All are insightful, knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive! Anticipated Work for Next Reporting Period: (Please list the objectives and goals for the next reporting period.) To Do: ● Finalized version of case statement completed. ● Finalized one page infographic completed. ● Finalized community self-assessment checklists completed. ● Develop community content modules draft (trail town how to's, best practices, resources for each specific trail type)
