Program Evaluation for Farm and Ranch Stress and Suicide Prevention

Fellow: Amy Patillo, University of Missouri Roadmap

Fellow Report: The evaluation team identified the scope of the problem and narrowed the scope of the solution. The team has collectively worked to understand the data collection and management challenges and is implementing a data collection portal and dening the data collection process working rst with Question, Persuade, and Refer suicide prevention program. The process will then be used with the additional mental health programs the project is working on. Experience(s) working with your Catalysts and Key Informants: Catalysts and key informants have supported and encouraged the team's work to streamline efforts while focusing on the components of the project where we can have the greatest impact. Thinking through the logic model and the data management plan was a significant contribution by the key informant. Significant Results: ● Narrowing the scope has allowed the team to concentrate on improving the data collection and process that we can control, as opposed to the process required by the National Mental Health First Aid program. ● The team is developing a portal to increase access to the project information and better coordinate data collection and outcomes reporting. ● Consolidating the data collection process in Qualtrics and simplifying the process in coordination with the program directors. Anticipated work for the next reporting period (December 1, 2021 - February 28, 2022): ● Implement and ne-tune the project process portal to reduce the data collection efforts of the instructors. ● Working with the campus technology team to identify data collection across all technology systems.

● Complete the adaptation of the streamlined data collection process. ● We are interested in working toward data visualization and storytelling.
