university is not in great shape. We all know that. Everyone is tightening their belts. The Department, Extension, us, everyone. So, I don’t think extra resources are in the game plan. We will need to figure this out, maybe apply for some philanthropic funds. There’s that guy on the Board, Henry somebody. People sayhe wants to seeminority outreach done. He’s got a company s omeplace in Connecticut somebody said, big company. Maybe he’d support the partnership.
Silence.
So, I get it, Clare throws up her hands. I took a call last night from Clinton County way in the southeast side of the state. They are closing their club and at least reducing (she hinted at closing) Extension itself. I get it. This partnershipapproach is going to be hard. But if we do not find a partner or a way into a bigger market of kids and their families, then we are going to have a harder, maybe imposs ible, time arguing for our budget the next fiscal year. Which, if I might remind you, starts in four months.
Anyone have a better idea?
