4-H Pathways Leadership Institute
Fellow: Andrew Turner, Cornell University Roadmap
Fellow Report: The 4-H Pathways Project has moved forward on one of our core goals for the NTAE project with the creation and scheduling of the first Level Two Pathways Leadership Institute. The two session program will take place from 1-4 p.m. on February 3 and 10, 2022. The University of Florida, U. of Nebraska, and Washington State University are participating in the Institute. Please see the attached Level Two Institute workbook for details on the upcoming sessions, including our speakers, LGU participants, and new case studies developed to support this next level of work. Experience(s) working with your Catalysts and Key Informants: Our catalyst and key informants continue to provide valuable insight and perspective to our process! Our catalyst, Chuck Hibberd, has helped us incorporate the pitch process into this session. Significant Results: ● Several significant new resources have been developed in support of the first Level Two Institute, most notably the development of four new one page case studies to stimulate and focus discussion during the Institute. We have also incorporated a new segment that will ask each LGU team participating in the Institute to develop and deliver a five minute "pitch" that describes the next series of core actions they must take as a team to continue to move their shared value proposition forward that they developed during their participation in the Level One Pathways Leadership institute. ○ Setting the dates and recruiting participants for two additional Level One Institutes between April and August, 2022. The goal is to reach an additional 8 LGU's over these two sessions. ○ Full evaluation and follow-up from our first Level Two Institute, including a face to face planning retreat and reporting progress back to the ECOP 4-H Leadership Committee. ○ Initiate the development of a sustainability plan for this project beyond the life of the NTAE funding. This work will include exploration of additional avenues for carrying this work to the local, grassroots level of the 4-H program. How can we Anticipated work for the next reporting period (March 1, 2021 - May 31, 2022) ● We have three main areas for the next reporting period:
