o More equitable distribution of infrastructure solutions at the business, community, and personal scales

• Advance Improvements to Energy and Infrastructure

o Reduced energy burden for the housing market and extended energy access to all homes

o Reduced climate-health risks and reduced energy costs for participants

Key Activities: Extension envisions a series of activities that could make these outcomes possible, including:

• Develop Baseline Understanding of Community Needs and Assets for Foci of Work

o Scan existing Census Housing Condition Data

o Conduct a housing study in targeted areas to inform future project locations, guided by the Census Housing Condition Data

o Conduct a scan of existing information such as FEMA flood maps

o Identify existing measurement models to evaluate equity impacts and/or develop new models that can capture broader impacts on equity

Provide Training and Education

o Scan existing Extension equity expertise, programming, and impact across all Extension workstreams (Agriculture and Natural Resources, Community Development, Health and Human Sciences, 4H and Youth) and its professional groups, incorporating learnings and aligning activities (e.g. 4H, Joint Council of Extension Professionals, Association of Natural Resource Extension Professionals, Epsilon Sigma Phi, National Association of Agricultural Agents, National Association of Community Development Extension Professionals, National Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals, National Association of Extension Program & Staff Development Professionals, and National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences)

o Provide training on social determinants of health and other applicable frameworks to support Extension readiness to engage in its application
