Q2 Quarterly Reports NTAE Year 4

Our objectives are four-fold: 1. Monitor nutrients of the target before and after TURF application 2. Identify the potential macro-algal species that can grow well naturally in our environment 3. Monitor the seasonal timeline of applying this technology in Delaware 4. Assess the effectiveness of this technology to removing excess nutrients and turbidity and provide alternative income to the farmers via other uses for algal mass (i.e. fertilizer, animal food ingredients) We had to identify the most cost-effective method to conduct this work. It took some time for us to identify that method since this project is not a very common practice. Experience(s) working with your Coach, Catalysts and/or Key Informants as applicable: Our catalysts are Dr. Ray McKinney and Dr. Dyremple Marsh. Both of them met us twice at least during the project timeline. We had various questions for them about the program and also expectations. They both shared their cell phones with us and they are out of reach if we need to communicate with them. We are very grateful for all the guidance and assistance provided by Richard and Tira for the project. Our discussion with them was another way of serving as a catalyst for us.
